About us:

APR Consultants Ltd is a multi-disciplinary consultancy company based in Rotorua. The company undertakes projects throughout New Zealand and offers the skills of applied, market, public and social researchers, economists, business analysts, planners and resource managers.

APR Consultants’ Director, Deryck Shaw, holds three tertiary qualifications and membership in five professional organisations including being a foundation member of the Royal Society (Social Scientists Electoral College). Deryck has a total of 40 years of project-based experience and has experience of overall management of many large projects (capital value of more than $2 million).

A significant part of APR's overall workload is made up of market research, feasibility, and economic development projects. Clients include local authorities, community trusts, NGO,s, (Non-Governmental Organisation) voluntary organisations, central government agencies, major public companies, private businesses, and individuals. 

APR’s research and business consulting services include business plans, strategic plans, tourism projects, economic monitoring, and one-off economic research projects, business surveys, general research and data analysis, feasibility studies, market research, marketing plans, business, and economic development, and management and organisational evaluation. 

APR has expertise in the areas of survey design, evaluation, data analysis, and specialised research projects. 

APR’s emphasis on all projects is practicality, efficiency, objectivity, and integrity. APR’s policy is to liaise closely with clients to ensure their needs are identified and met. We maintain a professional approach through:
